15 to 1 returns with the lead singer of one of our favourite band discoveries of the last 18 months. With his Tea Pad Orchestra he is ready to release a brand new album on the world (this time with a vinyl release as well), he lives in the North East and he seems to think we are a riding school? He is…

15. Where are you right now?

At work, doing my day job, in a cafe called Heaton Perk, in Newcastle…it helps pay for my vintage clothes/records/booze habits….

14. Dog or cat?

Always had cats, but I like to try new things, so I’m gonna say dog.

13. What is the greatest record ever made?

Astral Weeks by Van Morrison is up there…single-wise to dance to, Soulful Dress by Sugar Pie Desanto. But that is a very very impossible question. I have a different greatest record every hour of every day. A-11 by Johnny Paycheck is the greatest COUNTRy record ever….M-16 by Lone Ranger is the greatest REGGAE record ever…..this could go on…

12. Cake or biscuit?

11. When did you last cry?

When I woke up this morning with a hangover.

10. What is your favourite cheese?

Saint Agur, and Port Salut.

9. If you change one thing about the world what would it be?

Money…it has ruined us.

8. Have you ever ridden a horse?

No, but I want to! Will you teach me?

7. What is the next record you are going to buy?

Probably some Johnny Paycheck.

6. What is the key to happiness?

5. Do you need to plug anything shamelessly?

YES! Our album is released on July 7th….and it’s great! Also, loads of summer dates and tour in Autumn coming up….check the website, www.teapadorchestra.co.uk

4. You have one bullet, no come back, who gets it?

The person who invented the firearm.

3. Red or black?

Depends what I’ve eaten.

2. North or South?

North! Ha’way!

1. Who are you?

Rob Heron, from Newcastle upon Tyne, NORTH…..and the band, Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra.
