Doris Doolally added to Bestival finals at Quay Arts
In an unprecedented surprise move, another act has been drafted into the Bestival Island Band, DJ & Spoken Word finals for Thursday 14th April at Quay Arts.
With only 2 days to go until the finals Doris Doolally has been added into the Spoken Word finals.
Doris is a member of the Island’s ‘Reading Between The Lines Collective‘ and should be considered a strong contender. She took runner-up plaudits in Poetry slams for WOMAD and Boomtown Fair (Where she frequently exhibits her instillation art gallery ‘The Elegy Emporium’). She’s opened for the likes of Mr. B The Gentleman Rhymer, JJ Bola, Rex Domino and many more. She performed at Fringe & Literary festivals around the UK, including a very well-received turn at Southamptons ‘So:To’ Speak festival.
The finals are being held at Quay Arts on 14th April, with doors opening at 7pm for a 7:30 Start. You can read more about the other acts in contention in our coverage from last week.
